Membership at Cobb Mountain Art and Ecology Project is…
…OUR WAY OF INVESTING IN SUSTAINABLE CONNECTION TO OUR LARGER REGIONAL CERAMICS COMMUNITY. OUR MEMBERS CREATE CONTINUITY THROUGHOUT THE SEASON’S VARIOUS FIRING WORKSHOP COHORTS. THEY BECOME VALUED CREW MEMBERS WHO HAVE A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF THE PROCESS AND HOW THINGS WORK AROUND CMAEP.
HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER:
Participate in 2 or more CMAEP Hosted Wood-Firing Workshops for 2 consecutive seasons. The season begins with the January Anagama Firing and ends with the Nov Train Firing.
Once you have completed 2 or more CMAEP Hosted Wood-Firing Workshops for 2 consecutive seasons send an email to cobbartandecology@gmail.com to request membership status.
CMAEP reserves the right to eliminate Member status for any person not in good standing regarding firing participation, unpaid fees, or any unacceptable conduct.
BENEFITS:
Members can reserve registration in CMAEP Hosted Wood-Firing Workshops with a discounted deposit price. Deposit amounts count towards payment for the total cost per cubic ft. of work fired.
(Does not apply to invited artist-led workshops.)Workshop fees are waived for members; members only pay the cost per cubic ft. of work they have fired. For the current price per cubic ft. please refer to the individual workshop registration page.
Members may be considered for invitations to show or sell work at our bi-annual open houses and other events.
EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consistently participate in 2 or more Wood-Firing Workshops per season. Failure to participate in 2 firings during a given season will result in loss of Membership status the following season.
Members registered for a firing workshop agree to bring a minimum of 2 cubic feet for Salt/Soda/Train firings and a minimum of 5 cubic feet of work for Anangama firings.
Members who are registered for workshops are expected to participate in both the prep day before and the clean-up day after the workshop event.

Friends of Cobb are selected folks who have made significant contributions to the facilities or firing community here at CMAEP.
