Daphi’s personal philosophy is that the ceramic vessel is a form of communication that transcends all language barriers. Her vessels are visually loud, as is her native language, American Sign Language. Both are languages communicated with the body and soul, because in both languages you must tune into what is within your own hands. In language, there is a delicate balance of pulling from the inner self and presenting it; and visually is her preferred method.
